It has been a frustrating few weeks for the Parish Council: Traffic Calming having agreed to village gates, speed humps and road narrowing at the 3 entrances to the village, Oxfordshire County Council have been extremely slow at moving things forward. Community Led Plan An invitation to meet: Thursday 2nd July, 2pm - 4pm The Reading Room Tomorrow is the final face to face session in this data gathering phase of the Community Led Plan. There have been some very interesting discussions, great suggestions and I have had the opportunity to meet and get to know newer members of the village which has been great. There are some very clear themes coming through your suggestions and I thank all of you who have contributed to date.

Camp Road Closure Camp Road Closure 1st July - 31st December 2026 Despite valiant attempts by our PC and those of surrounding villages plus the support of Cllr Gareth Epps, no alternatives have been found to the 6 month closure of Camp Road with the diversion as outlined in this image. Throughout both weekdays and weekends, a rolling road closure will be in operation as essential drainage works progress along Camp Road from the main entrance of the DWH development, Heyfo

Thank You To Our Volunteers! Our Community relies on volunteers to make it what it is - from those who run annual events such as the Flower Show and the Fireworks, monthly Afternoon Teas, Family Fun Days and Halloween Celebrations. Fund raising activities including Bingo and the Christmas Fayre. Putting up the marquee to support these events, winding the church clock, keeping our facilities in good working order for us all to enjoy - the list goes on - members of our Village

High Street Disruption As you may be aware, there is currently an issue with the water flow for the taps on High Street and by the cemetery. These are fed by a local spring and the tank has been filling up with silt and sand. The Parish Council have organised for this to be cleared on the 23rd June and the contractors will be on site near The Spit on High Street between approx 10.30am & 3.30pm. Please try to avoid this area during this time as access may not be possible. Th

Camp Road Proposed Closure 6 Months Road Closure Many of you have seen the signs on Camp Road indicating a 6 month road closure from the 1st July. This is to connect sewage from the new Heyford Springs development to the sewage works alongside Manor Farm in our parish. The closure points would be staggered as the works take place. The Parish Council are aware of this proposal and have been working with neighbouring parishes and Cllr Gareth Epps to change this. There is an

May Day Fun Day - Thank you! What a fantastic day we had on Sunday 3rd May at the May Day Fun Day, although the sun didn’t shine on us all day, the rain held off and it was warm enough to relax and enjoy. The queue for the face painting was never ending, the artists perfecting every child’s wish with a smile – amazement by the customers that there was no charge!
