About Upper Heyford Parish Council
Upper Heyford Parish Council is committed to ensuring accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continuously improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Our Commitment to Accessibility
We believe in making our website accessible to everyone. An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same ease and enjoyment as other visitors. We are working towards achieving this through the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating and through assistive technologies.
Accessibility Features
We have implemented accessibility features in accordance with WCAG 2.0 guidelines, and have made the site accessible to the level of A. Our efforts include:
- 1. Used the Accessibility Wizard to find and fix potential accessibility issues
2. Set the language of the site
3. Set the content order of the site’s pages
4. Defined clear heading structures on all of the site’s pages
5. Added alternative text to images
6. Implemented color combinations that meet the required color contrast
7. Reduced the use of motion on the site
8. Ensured all videos, audio, and files on the site are accessible
Declaration of partial compliance with the standard due to third-party content [only add if relevant]
The accessibility of certain pages on the site may depend on contents that do not belong to the organisation. We are working towards achieving full compliance for these pages.
Accessibility Arrangements
We are dedicated to ensuring accessibility in all aspects of our organisation. Our physical site facilities are equipped with the necessary accessibility arrangements to cater to individuals with disabilities. We continuously evaluate and improve our accessibility offerings.
