Parish Council Update
Parish Council Meeting
The last meeting of the Parish Council took place on the 9th July 2026, please take a look at the draft meeting minutes for more information.
The Council are now on a Summer Break for August and the next meeting is taking place on the 10th September 20226 at 7.15pm in The Reading Room
Upper Heyfest
We are looking forward Upper Heyfest on the 29th August 2026 from 12 noon at the UH Recreation Ground. Fun for all of the family with fairground rides from Hatwell Amusements.
There will be a range of local beers and ciders plus a full bar, all provided by Dave and Emma from The Oxford Bar Company who live in the village. They are very kindly donating their profits back to the Parish Council which will cover the costs of the event - any money over will go into the Village Playground Fund.
Delicious food available include burgers, curry, pizza and ice cream.
We have commitment from all of the acts performing on the day, headline acts are The Flaming Keys, Russ Fray (Sledgehammer) and fabulous Jennah! Click below to see more event information and the full line-up.
Biodeiversity
The Parish Council are looking to improve the biodiversity in the Village, they have identified some areas to dedicate to re-wilding as you can see outlined in red on the map.
What do you think of these suggestions? Do you have any additional/alternative suggestions? We would love to hear from you!
We will take advice as to what species should be planted to encourage a wide selection of wildlife.
The added benefit of this, is that it will also reduce the mowing costs to the Parish.
