Parish Council Update

Parish Council Meeting
The next Parish Council meeting takes place this Thursday, 9th July 2026 at 7.15pm in the Reading Room. As always, this meeting is open to residents to join with 15 minutes being allocated to a public forum.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Community Led Plan
It has been great to see so many of you in the face to face sessions and to receive some very interesting suggestions in the boxes - thank you.
The next step is for us to use this information to create a full survey which will be distributed in September. Paper copies will be delivered to every household and an online version will also be available. We would like to hear from each person aged 15 upwards so that we can have a clear idea of how we can support each and every individual.

Camp Road Closure
I think that we can all agree that the closure of Camp Road has created many challenges for everyone who lives in Upper Heyford and the surrounding areas.
The Parish Council has been active in communicating with all parties involved feeding back the issues we have including the increase in traffic at the junction of Camp Road and Somerton Road, the lack of clear diversion route signage, the on again, off again traffic lights in Lower Heyford.
The Parish Council have invited all parties to meet face to face to find a solution that supports all and we hope that this is successful. If you would like to complain directly then please email:

Once again, this village has come together with volunteers 'counting cars' at the junction, taking photographs and videos of dangerous maneuvers - all of which help us to make a change. We salute you all - thank you!
