Parish Council Update
Frustration!
It has been a frustrating few weeks for the Parish Council:
Traffic Calming having agreed to village gates, speed humps and road narrowing at the 3 entrances to the village, Oxfordshire County Council have been extremely slow at moving things forward. We were promised that the gate installations would take place by the end of March and we are still waiting some 4 months later. Following the feedback from the village traffic calming meeting, we have also requested a statutory consultation regarding double yellow lines at the junctions of Somerton Road and High Street, Mill Lane and Orchard Lane.
Speed Watch we have the volunteers, we have completed the online training - now we await Thames Valley Police to approve our sites and to provide us with the equipment to get started.
Camp Road Closure we are continuing to pass on information about incidents in the village following this closure and hope that this will influence some change. We are putting pressure on all involved to open Chilgrove Lane which will remove the HGV element.

The Parish Council continue to chase, nag, push back and do everything within its power to make these changes for the parish - as requested by the community.

Good News!!
The Parish Council have sourced a number of take-away food vans to come to the village on a regular basis. We have burgers from Something Tasty, Curry Nights with Nandita, The Pizza Boys and Farrs fish and chips.
Each van will be situated on a Tuesday evening in the Village Hall car park, rotating week by week from September.
More details will follow soon!
